My name is Sahil Rishi and I am 18 years old. I am currently employed in a company called Canada Pharmacy in White Rock, it is a pharmaceutical company and we only ship to the United States. We help them find medication at a lower and affordable price. I also play competitive hockey at a high level, it keeps me busy and the main thing is I enjoy doing it. Aside from hockey, my hobbies are hanging out with friends and family, cooking, shopping, and im always looking for something new to learn each and everyday.
This will be my second semester at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, by only being here for a very short amount of time I have learned that it doesn’t matter how smart you are, it’s if you put in the time and hard work with a little bit of dedication you can amount to anything. As of right now i am pursuing my BBA in Accounting and later on become a CGA.
I do not have a lot of experience , or have not had the chance to take any previous sociology classes. I do not have a strong understanding of the course. But the reason I chose to enroll myself in this class is because I had heard that this course was about human beings and society, and how they work together and individually. Thought it would be something that I would grasp onto and enjoy learning the different ways of thinking that people have all over the world in comparison to the ways that we live today.
My expectations for this class are not pin pointed at one certain thing, its more about how it can change me as a person. I can see that this class will surely expand my knowledge and understanding of life involving social issues and affect me as a human being in my own society.
